What happens in the finale
The last episode, "Touched", is a rescue and a reckoning.
- Neagley, Hudson Riley and Renee Birdwhistle push into Echo Canyon Farm to get Keno out.
- They fight through the underground silo beneath the farm, pull out survivors and grab the evidence.
- The silo is destroyed. Cole ends up trapped underground when it goes up, and the show appears to kill him off.
- Neagley gives Arvid Rawlings a dose of Tranqlara, the drug his operation built. He wanders out into traffic and is hit by a vehicle.
- Her father, Calvin, has died by the time she reaches the hospital, leaving a letter behind.
Why did Tommy die?
Tommy Crane went to Echo Canyon looking for help with old trauma. What he found was a farm being used to test an experimental drug on vulnerable people, and Cole had him killed for it. The drug is the same one that sent him in front of a train in episode 1. Read the full story in what happened to Tommy.
Who is the man behind it all?
Rawlings, a wealthy Scandinavian businessman. He is first named in episode 7, where he shoots Pierce Woodrow. Woodrow ran the drug company, and Rawlings turns out to have been his boss. The finale gives Rawlings the same drug and the same kind of ending Tommy got.
Neagley's secret
The case hits close to home. As a kid, Neagley saw her father kill Elliot Percy, a man who had abused Tommy. Calvin told her nobody would ever touch her again, and that promise is the root of her aversion to physical contact. His letter apologises for the damage.
Reacher at the funeral
Jack Reacher turns up at Calvin's funeral, and Neagley offers him her hand to shake. It matters because it's her choice. Maria Sten has described Reacher as the person who was "always there for her". What happens with Hudson?
Riley is clearly interested in her, and she doesn't shut it down. She still puts her own recovery first. He stays close as part of her new team.
Where does she end up?
Neagley buys her late boss's private investigation firm and builds a small team around it with Riley and Renee.
Will there be a season 2?
Nothing is confirmed. As of September 2026 Prime Video hasn't renewed the show. See will there be a Neagley season 2.
